UFFIZI GALLERY

The Uffizi Gallery is one of the most ancient and important Museums in the world. It was designed by the architect Giorgio Vasari between 1560 and 1580. Now the Museum houses more than 2500 paintings from 13^° to the 18^° century.

You will admire masterpieces by Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo,Masaccio, Raphael, Tithian and Caravaggio. The famous Vasarian Corridor connected thePalazzo Vecchio , political centre of Florence, to the Pitti Palace, summer residence of Medici family. The Vasarian Corridor crosses the Arno river above the Ponte Vecchio and it houses some paintings of the 17° and 18° centuries.
